How to Play

Cajun Stud is a fun five-card poker game featuring optional bonus wagers.

Getting Started

A five-card player hand is revealed gradually. At three decision points along the way, the player may either raise his ante bet by one to three times or fold.

Ante

  1. To begin the game, each player must make an ante wager. Each player may also place an optional Pocket Bonus, Board Bonus, Lo Ball, All-Six and/or Progressive Jackpot wager.
  2. If the optional All Six Wager is on the felt, the first four cards dealt from the shoe are to be given to the dealer and placed in the designated All Six card square.
  3. Each player then receives two hole cards, face down. The dealer receives a packet of three cards and places them, face down, in the designated community board area. Each player will use the 3 community cards to form their own five card poker hands.
  4. After examining their two hole cards, each player must then decide to do one of the following:
    1. Players may to choose to place a Raise wager. This wager must be 1x, 2x, or 3x their original Ante wager.

Or

    1. Players may choose to fold. If a player folds they surrender their ante wager.
    2. If the Player chooses to fold and had previously placed an optional side wager: The player’s two cards shall be placed face down in front of the betting area closest to the Dealer OR tucked under one of the optional side wager bets. These bets will be reconciled at the completion of the hand.
  1. The dealer reveals the first community card.
  2. After examining the first community card, each player must then decide to do one of the following:
    1. Players may to choose to place a second Raise wager. This wager must be 1x, 2x or 3x their original ante wager.

Or

    1. Players may choose to fold. If a player folds they surrender their ante wager and first raise wager.
    2. If the Player chooses to Fold and had previously placed an optional side wager: The player’s two cards shall be placed face down in front of the betting area closest to the dealer or tucked under one of the optional side wager bets. These bets will be reconciled at the completion of the hand.
  1. The dealer reveals the second community card.
  2. After examining the second community card, each player must then decide to do one of the following:
    1. Players may to choose to place a third Raise wager. This wager must be 1x, 2x or 3x their original ante wager.

Or

    1. Players may choose to fold. If a player folds they surrender their ante wager, first raise wager and second raise wager.
    2. If the Player chooses to Fold and had previously placed an optional side wager: The player’s two cards shall be placed face down in front of the betting area closest to the Dealer OR tucked under one of the optional side wager bets. These bets will be reconciled at the completion of the hand.

Optional Bonus Wagers

Cajun Stud also contains several optional bonus wagers. The bonus wagers are as follows:

Lo Ball
A Lo Ball wager is made prior to the start of a round of play. The Lo Ball bet wins if the player’s five-card hand evaluates to a Jack High or less.

Board Bonus
A Board Bonus wager is made prior to the start of a round of play. A player wins their Board Bonus wager if the three-card hand formed by the three community cards consists of one of the winning triggering events.

Pocket Bonus
A Pocket Bonus wager is made prior to the start of a round of play. If the player’s initial two card hand forms a Pair or an “Ace plus a Face” (AK, AQ, or AJ) hand, the player wins their Pocket Bonus wager.

All-Six Bonus
An All-Six Bonus wager is made prior to the start of a round of play. A player wins their All-Six wager if their six-card hand, formed by combining the player’s two-card hand with the four-card All Six community hand, forms at least a Three of a Kind.

5 Card Progressive
The 5 Card Progressive wager is made prior to the start of a round of play. This wager is evaluated on the player’s five-card hand.

How to Win

The object of the game is for the player to achieve a poker hand that triggers a winning event against a pay table. Cajun Stud also contains several optional bonus wagers, which are won if the player’s hand achieves a predetermined winning event posted on the corresponding pay tables. Casino operators choose which wagers they will offer and the minimum and maximum wagering limits.
