Emperor’s Challenging Pai Gow

Pai Gow Poker is a version of the popular Asian tile game known as Pai Gow. This game is played with a 52-card deck and a single Joker, played heads-up against the dealer to make the best possible hands. The Joker can only be used as an ace or to complete a straight, flush, or straight flush.

Getting Started

The game begins with the player(s) making a wager. Players are dealt seven cards, which they use to make two poker hands. A two-card hand and a five-card hand are made with the highest hand located in the five-card hand and the lowest hand located in the two-card hand. When setting the hands, the two-card hand may not be higher than the five-card hand. The player must beat the dealer on both hands or lose both hands, otherwise a push will occur.

In all discrepancies, the floorman’s decision is final.
