Gilley’s Feature Country Band Whiskey Myers at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola

POCOLA, Okla. (November 26, 2018) – Choctaw Casino & Resort-Pocola announced today the December entertainment at Gilley’s. Country and rock favorites will perform free concerts every weekend. Special performances by Cody Canada & The Departed as well as Jason Boland & The Stragglers to close out 2018! Mark your calendars for favorites such as Whiskey Meyers, Asphalt Cowboys, Devin Dawson and more!

Asphalt Cowboys: Saturday, Dec. 1

Asphalt Cowboys is a high energy band that specializes in covers that range from country to rock favorites. They also have several originally tunes that will be performed as well. This five man band is here to put on a spectacular show. Concert starts at 10 p.m.

Lance Carpenter: Friday, Dec. 7

Self-taught country singer, songwriter and guitar player Lance Carpenter will put on a show stopping performance this winter. His debut release “Anyone Else” featuring Krystal Keith is already a chart-topping hit! Other hits include, “All Over You” and “The Hitchhiker.” Don’t be late, his concert starts at 10 p.m.

Red Shahan: Saturday, December 8

In the three years since the release of Red Shahan’s debut song, “Men and Coyotes”, the country singer has made quite a name for himself. Like any other self-respecting Texas singer-songwriter, he’s able to hold his own on stage. But “Culberson County” is no one-man show. Now performances are a full-band affair. As a band of three they perform music for your soul. Concert starts at 10 p.m.

Alex Williams: Friday, Dec. 14

Alex Williams, country singer-songwriter, grew up on 80’s hair metal, but after his grandparents played songs from country greats such as Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson his tune was forever changed. His music can be described as a new breed of vintage country and southern rock. Hit songs include, “Little too Stoned” and “Better Than Myself.” Concert starts at 10 p.m.

Devin Dawson: Saturday, Dec. 15

County music singer-songwriter Devin Dawson is different than most country artists. His look is dark and bold and his sound is sleek and raw. Dawson put together his debut album and co-wrote every track resulting in a mix of organic roots and high-voltage country. Hit songs include “All on Me” and “Asking for a Friend.”  You won’t want to miss this unique concert experience. Concert starts at 10 p.m.

Hillbilly Vegas: Friday, Dec. 21

Country influenced rockers Hillbilly Vegas will be here to get their audience up, moving and to “Shake It Like A Hillbilly.” This five man band is all about creating fun, high energy music that gives people a good feeling. Crowd favorite songs include “High Time for a Good Time” and “Long Way Back.” Concert starts at 10 p.m.

Members Only: Saturday, Dec. 22

Members Only is a rock tribute band. Their high-energy performances and incredible light show features tribute music that spans the decades. Featured artists include songs from Michael Jackson, Def Leppard, Prince, Bon Jovi and many more. Put your party gear on, these masters of the ’80’s are here to remind their audience that the ’80s will live on forever. Concert starts at 10 p.m.

Tragikly White: Friday, Dec. 28

Tragikly White is a high-octane blend of dance and rock band here to kick off your New Year’s weekend. Performing your favorite cover songs such as “Can’t Feel My Face” by The Weeknd and “Thiftshop” by Macklemore, Tragikly White Band is a show you won’t want to miss. Concert begins at 10 p.m.

Whiskey Meyers: Saturday, Dec. 29

Whiskey Meyers is a southern rock and red dirt country group. The band hit No. 1 on the iTunes Country Chart with their breakout third album “Early Morning Shakes,” earning raving reviews from Rolling Stone to USA Today. These six southern gentlemen have come to put on an amazing show this holiday weekend.  Concert starts at 10 p.m.

Confederate Railroad: Sunday, December 30

The southern country rock band Confederate Railroad rolled onto the country music scene in the early 90s with their unique sound and style. From rowdy country to raw emotion, the band covers a wide fan base. From young people rocking out to “Trashy Women” to parents and grandparents singing along to “Jesus and Mama” this band is sure to put on a show worth seeing. Concert starts at 10 p.m.

Cody Canada & The Departed and Jason Boland & The Stragglers: Monday, Dec. 31

Closing out the year will be Cody Canada & The Departed as well as Jason Boland & The Stragglers. They have collaborated together to give their audience an amazing show to end out 2018 with a bang! Cody Canada is a rock country musician who is currently the lead singer and guitarist for the rock band The Departed. Their band will perform at 8:30 p.m.

Jason Boland is a red dirt Texas country singer who is the lead vocalist and guitarist for the band Jason Boland & The Stragglers. While their music draws from rock and folk, make no mistake: they traffic in unfiltered, unfettered honky-tonk. Their performance will being at 11 p.m.

This month’s concert series at Gilley’s will be held every weekend throughout the month of December. The concerts are free to guests to listen to while enjoying a wide selection of beer or cocktails at the full-service bar. You must be 21 or older to attend.
