Gilley’s Feature Country Band Josh Abbott Band at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola this March

POCOLA, Okla., (March 6, 2019) – Choctaw Casino & Resort-Pocola announced today the March entertainment at Gilley’s. This spring enjoy your favorite country and rock performers as they perform free concerts throughout the month. Mark your calendars for Josh Abbott Band on Mar. 9. Other artists include, Groovement, Radney Foster, Shooter Jennings and more. These free live music events will begin at 9 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.

 

Mr. Cabbage Head & the Screaming Radishes: Friday, Mar. 1, 8, and 22

Don’t let their name fool you, this ten-man band knows how to jam! Over 30 years in the industry, this band promises to deliver the best ‘60s and ‘70s acts you’ve ever seen. The band features a 10-piece horn band compiling of trumpets, saxophones, a flute and trombone. This cover band loves performing in front of a responsive crowd and is ready to provide their audience with an unforgettable show.

 

Groovement: Saturday, Mar. 2

Six-man funk-rock band, Groovement can often be described as a blend between Led Zeppelin and Grouplove. They have catchy melodies, big harmonies and impressive solos that has named this group Best New Band and Best Funk Band in Northwest Arkansas. Throw in some favorite cover tunes and funky grooves and you’ve got one memorable night.

 

Josh Abbott Band: Saturday, Mar. 9

Josh Abbot Band has won over their fans by their inherently upbeat, relatable material. Landing three singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart including, “Oh Tonight,” which featured Grammy-winner Kacey Musgraves, a Top 10 album with their 2012 release of  “Small Town Family Dreams,” and five singles on the Hot Country Songs chart including, “Hangin’ Around” and “Amnesia.”

 

Shooter Jennings: Friday, Mar. 15

Known mainly for his outlaw country, Shooter Jennings has released seven albums and has made multiple film appearances. His newest album, “Shooter” was crafted into what he believes is the best mix of modern country music in both spirit and feel. Fan favorites include “Outlaw You” and “Bound Ta Git Down.”

 

Carlton Anderson: Saturday, Mar. 16

Carlton Anderson, one of the promising young country acts in Nashville, music can often be described as a blend between traditional country and modern sound. His first major release was his hit single, “Drop Everything,” released in 2018. Anderson’s self-titled album, “Carlton Anderson” was released earlier this year and features three hits tracks. Other fan favorites include “Keep Abilene Beautiful” and “Country Music Made Me Do It.”

 

Radney Foster: Saturday, Mar. 23

With more than 35 years of experience in the music industry Radney Foster is a country singer-songwriter, author and producer. Initially starting out Foster was a songwriter, but after he made his recording debut as a part of the Foster & Lloyd duo, things quickly changed. Since his solo career began in 1992, Foster has released 11 studio albums, produced four consecutive Top 40 hits and assembled a project comprised of two parts, a book/CD.

 

Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers: Friday, Mar. 29

Four man rock band Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers (RCPM) are here to spice up your night with their witty lyrics and crunching guitar riffs. RCPM have released seven consecutive studio albums, two of which have reached No. 1, and all albums have landed on the top 10 Billboard’s Internet Sales Chart. Hit songs include “Green & Dumb” and “Mexican Moonshine.”

 

Charlie Farley: Saturday, Mar. 30

A southwest Arkansas native, Charlie Farley has heads turning with a new breed of music defined as hick-hop. In 2014, Farley released his debut CD “Hog Heaven.” After he decided to retire in 2016, Farley came back and released his second album, “All I’ve Been Through,” which features his hit song, “Southern Summertime.” Farley’s latest album, “Winning With The Losers” landed him on the Top 25 country heatseekers chart.

 

This month’s concert series at Gilley’s will be held every weekend throughout the month of March. The concerts are free to guests to listen to while enjoying a wide selection of beer or cocktails at the full-service bar. You must be 21 or older to attend.
