Celebrate July 4th with fireworks, live entertainment and more

DURANT, Okla. (June 16, 2026)- The Choctaw Nation will light up with fireworks and drone shows the week of July 4, with plenty of opportunities for everyone to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday.

Thursday, July 2

  • Choctaw Casino & Resort – Grant will begin the weekend with fireworks at dusk on July 2. Festivities will roll into the weekend with a pool party at the Cove on Saturday, July 4 from 2-6 p.m. Wristbands can be purchased from the front desk for $25 and cabanas can be reserved for $200. Guests will also have a chance to win a new Jeep at 1 a.m. on July 4 and 11 p.m. on July 5 with the Red, White and Win

 

  • Choctaw Casino – Idabel is throwing a Stars & Stripes Independence Day Celebration on July 2 from 5-10 p.m. The outdoor event will include food trucks, vendors, kids’ activities and free live entertainment from the Todd Freeman Band. Fireworks, which are presented by Idabel National Bank, will begin at dusk.

 

Guests can head into the casino July 2-4 to earn a 250th Celebration shirt while supplies last. Choctaw Rewards Club members who earn 50 tier credits between 8 a.m.-11 p.m. can redeem their credits for a shirt at the Rewards Club.

 

On Saturday, July 4, guests will have a chance to win a share of $100,000 in the All American Giveaway. There will also be hourly drawings with a chance to win up to $250 cash.

 

  • Choctaw Casino – Stringtown will kick off Fourth of July weekend with the America 250 Celebration Weekend starting on July 2 with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

 

Outdoor food vendors will open at 6 p.m. followed by live entertainment from Jenna Pebworth and Shannon Raines starting at 7 p.m. There will also be hourly drawings from 5-10 p.m. with a grand prize drawing of $1,250 at 11 p.m. and another for $1,776 at midnight. Guests can continue winning big all weekend long with America 250 Celebration drawings on July 3 and July 4.

 

Friday, July 3

  • At least 400 colorful drones will light up the night sky at this year’s  fireworks show at theChoctaw Nation Capitol Grounds in Tuskahoma. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and the show begins at dusk. Lawn chairs and blankets are allowed. Food vendors will be on site. Other family fun includes stickball and rabbit sticks, a tye-dye shirt station, bubbles foam machine, chalk painting, cornhole, karaoke, dunk tank, and emergency services vehicle tours.

 

  • Choctaw Landing’s fireworks show will be July 3 at dusk. The Hochatown resort will also have a pool party from 2-7 p.m. on July 3 with DJ Derrick, as well as a live radio remote with KKYR from 7-10 p.m. There will be Coca Cola and Casamigos activations, and guests can participate in human foosball and cornhole at Oka Sita Lawn.

 

On Saturday, July 4 and July 5, there will be a pool party with DJ Derrick from 2-7 p.m. Parties are open to the public, with $25 adult wristbands and $10 child wristbands available at the front desk. There will also be free live entertainment on Cypress Lawn, with Lane Bricker performing from 8:30-11:30 p.m. on July 4.

Saturday, July 4

  • Choctaw Cultural Center1919 Hina Hanta Way, Durant, will offer activities for the entire family on the evening of July 4. The Cultural Center will be closed that day, but gates will re-open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $25 per car. Activities run 7 p.m. – 10 p.m., including a coloring contest for kids and adults, social dancing, and opportunities to play Choctaw trivia.

 

Fireworks show begins at 9 p.m. with audio provided by tuning in to KLBC FM. Personal chairs are permitted, and concessions will be available. No outside food or drink is allowed. Champuli Cafe and the Hvshi Gift Store will be open.

 

  • Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant will host its annual fireworks show at dusk on July 4. The show will be synced to the KLBC radio broadcast.

 

Hotel guests can head to OASIS for a watch party from 8:30-10:30 p.m., with kids welcome during watch party hours.

 

From June 30-July 2, guests can receive a 250-Year Anniversary t-shirt by earning 1,776 tier credits. Credits can be redeemed at the Sky Rewards Club.

 

On Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, guests can enjoy a Fourth of July special at Gilley’s. The special includes house-smoked ribs, corn on the cob and cowboy baked beans. The half rack special is $28, and the full rack special is $38.
