DURANT, Okla. (May 22, 2019) – The Academy of Country Music® announced the Industry Award and Studio Recording Award winners for the 54^th ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS ™. Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant won “Casino of the Year- Small Capacity.” This is the fifth year they have been nominated and their first win.

“We are ecstatic to be recognized by the Academy of Country Music and win this prestigious award,” states Frank Deal, assistant general manager at Choctaw Casino & Resort- Durant. “It means so much to our team. They work so hard every year to bring the best entertainment to southeastern Oklahoma and provide our guests with an experience they couldn’t get anywhere else.”

The casino will receive the award at the ACM Honors event on August 21 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.

The Academy of Country Music Industry Awards are voted on by all professional members of the Academy.

The Grand Theater at Choctaw Casino & Resort hosted several country performers, including 16-time ACM Award winner and host of this year’s ACM Awards, Reba McEntire. Other performers who have graced the stage include, Male Artist of the Year, Thomas Rhett; Group of the Year, Old Dominion and Female Artist of the Year, Kacey Musgraves. The theater will host other ACM winners Keith Urban, Little Big Town and Tim McGraw later this year as well as the ACM Artist of the Decade, Jason Aldean on Saturday, May 25.
