Rodney Carrington was born in Longview, Texas, USA. Rodeny Carrington is a multitalented stand-up comedian, singer, and country music artists, known for Rodney (2004), Beer for My Horses (2008) and Rodney Carrington: Live at the Majestic (2007). Rodney may be best known for his nine major record label comedy albums that he recorded, which sold millions of copies around the world. Rodeny broke through with his major label comedy CD debut Hangin” with Rodeny in 1998. The album featuring his favorite songs, Fred, sold more than 450,000 copies, and over ten years later, consistently appears on the Soundscan comedy charts.

Over the years Rodney saw six more Top 10 albums: Live, Mounting Wood, Greatest Hirs, Unstack and King of the Mountains, and the newest one, El Nino Loco, all which continue to receive major radio airplay and a place on the national comedy charts. Morning Wood and Greatest Hits (a double CD), have both earned RIAA gold record certification, and are well on the way to platinum status.
