Craps

Craps gaming table with dice and chips for players.

Betting the Pass Line

This is the bet you need to make if you want to roll the dice! Place your chips on the line.

COME-OUT ROLL

When the dice roll a 7 or 11 on the come-out roll, you win. On the other hand, if a 2, 3 or 12 rolls, your pass line loses. Any other number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10) becomes your point.

WHAT’S THE POINT?

You win if the point repeats before a 7 rolls; the pass line loses if a 7 rolls before you make your point. Up to 10x Odds are optional.

COME BETS

Come Bets act the same as a Pass Line Bet after the come-out roll. You win on Naturals 7 or 11, and your bet is removed on Craps 2, 3 or 12. Any other number becomes the point and you win if your point is made before a 7 is rolled. Up to 10x Odds are optional.

PROPOSITION BETS

These are all one-roll bets that are decided on each roll of the dice. Any 7 pays 4-to-1. Any Craps (2, 3 or 12) pays 7-to-1. Rolling 3 or 11 pays 15-to1. Rolling a 2 or 12 pays 30-to-1.

HARDWAY BETS

There are four possible Hardway Bets: Hardway Four is two 2s and Hardway Ten is two 5s, both of which pay 7-to-1; Hardway Six is two 3s and Hardway Eight is two 4s, both of which pay 9-to-1. Your bet is removed if a number rolls easy (4-2) or a 7 is rolled.

PLACE BETS

You may make a Place Bet any time on any or all of the following numbers: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10. You win if the number you have placed rolls before a 7; payouts are 9-to-5 on the 4 and 10, 7-to-5 on the 5 and 9 and 7-to-6 on the 6 and 8.

BUY BETS

Buy Bets are place bets that are paid true odds in exchange for a vigorish ($1 for every $20 wagered). The 4 & 10 are the most popular numbers to “buy.”

FIELD BETS

Want to bet a lot of numbers? This bet pays if 3, 4, 9, 10 or 11 rolls and pays double if a 2 or 12 rolls.
