Gilley’s Feature Country Artist David Lee Murphy at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola

POCOLA, Okla. (October 7, 2018) – Choctaw Casino & Resort-Pocola announced today the November entertainment at Gilley’s. Country, rock and pops favorites will perform free concerts all month long. Mark your calendars for favorites such as David Lee Murphy, Jack Ingram, Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights and more. The free live music events start at 10:00pm both Friday and Saturday.

 

Jack Ingram: Friday, November 2

Jack Ingram is a country singer, songwriter and guitarist. He has released nine studio albums, one extended play, six live albums, and 19 singles. The country singer’s song “Wherever You Are” was number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs back in 2006. Since then Ingram has sent six other songs into the country Top 40 with “Love You,” “Measure of a Man,” and “Barefoot and Crazy.”

 

Shane Smith & The Saints: Saturday, November 3

These five gentlemen pride themselves on their ability to unleash an amazing performance. From the formation of the chords and lyrics by Shane, to joining their fiddler Bennett Brown, lead guitarist Tim Allen, bassist Chase Satterwhite and drummer Zach Stover each song is brought to life by every member of this band. Despite the fact that they don’t fit easily into any musical category this band is here to put on an amazing show you won’t want to miss!

 

Matt Stell: Friday, November 9

Equal parts songwriter and entertainer Matt wants to draw people into his music. The country singer has opened up for some of the biggest country acts of the last decade including, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Jake Owen and more! His goal is to create songs that you feel are written by the kind of guy you want to party with.

 

Radio Romance: Saturday, November 10

A fusion between traditional country and 90s pop rock this four man band is here to deliver a performance unlike any other. Radio Romance has introduced their sound to country music fans nationwide alongside some of the genre’s top acts including Cole Swindell, Lee Brice, and Luke Combs. Comprised of a lead vocalist, guitarist, bassist, and a drummer round out this band that gives them a unique groove all their own.

 

Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights: Friday, November 16

Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights (JTNL) are a hard rock/blues rock band. JTNL has toured alongside notable performers such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kid Rock and AC/DC. The band was awarded “Best Group”, “Best Male Vocalist”, and “Best Blues Act” by the 2009 Dallas Observer Music Awards. Top hits include, “Pardon Me”, “Young & Free” and “Hot Sake”, all of which have been featured on premier television stations such as NBC, FOX and ESPN.

 

David Lee Murphy: Saturday, November 17

David Lee Murphy is a country music singer and songwriter best known for his No.1 country hits “Dust on the Bottle” and “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright.” He has released five solo studio albums and often co-writes album cuts for artists such as Reba McEntire and Jason Aldean. Recently he has been nominated for the CMA Award for Musical Event of The Year 2018 for his single “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright”. You’ll be sure to want to dust off your boots for this show stopping performance.

 

Runaway June: Friday, November 23

Runaway June is an all-female country trio who’s song “Wild West” earned them a 2018 ACM nomination for “New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year.” Their sound of blue grass tradition fused with their own influences create a style of music country fans have been craving since The Dixie Chicks.

 

Steve Brack: Saturday, November 24

Steve Brack is a country music singer/songwriter with six self-produced albums, with number seven in the works. Brack has written over a couple hundred songs on his own before branching out and writing with other hit songwriters. Top hits include, “Bikers Creed” and “The Driller.”

 

Backroad Anthem: Friday, November 30

Closing out this month’s performers is Backroad Anthem. This country/rock band consists of 6 gentlemen. While their music can be described as contemporary country, each member brings in different influences to add to the bands overall sound ranging from hard rock to bluegrass and ‘90s country.

 

This month’s concert series at Gilley’s will begin at 10:00 p.m. every weekend. The concerts are free to guests to listen to while sipping on a wide selection of beers, or cocktails at the full-service bar. You must be 21 or older to attend.
