Choctaw Casinos & Resorts Announce Fourth of July Firework Shows and Festivities

Concerts, giveaways and more for Fourth of July weekend

DURANT, Okla. (June 15, 2023) – The sky across southeastern Oklahoma will light up from July 2 to July 4 with numerous fireworks displays across Choctaw Nation.

Choctaw Casinos & Resorts will celebrate Independence Day with Fourth of July celebrations at four locations, each featuring fun-filled events for the whole family.


DURANT – Tuesday, July 4

Fireworks: The fireworks show will kick off at dusk on Tuesday, July 4, with parking available at the Choctaw Event Center or Choctaw Nation Headquarters. Tune into KLBC on 106.3 FM to enjoy the full effect of the show synced to music!

Live Entertainment: Plan your holiday around Choctaw Casino & Resort-Durant because the Fourth of July is full of must-see concerts! Lainey Wilson will be performing Friday, June 30, Saturday, July 1 and Sunday July 2 at the Grand Theatre. Bailey Rae will be at Gilley’s and Rocky & the Bullwinkles will be at Guy’s from 10 p.m.-12 a.m., while DJ 13lackbeard will be at AQUA on Saturday, July 1 from 3-8 p.m.

Dining: Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2 will Butterfields Buffet will feature specials starting with brunch from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. for $30. On Saturday, there will be a seafood buffet from 2 p.m.-12 a.m. for $45, and Sunday it will be a BBQ buffet from 2 p.m.-12 a.m. for $45.

Gaming: Every Saturday in June, July and August, Choctaw Casino & Resort-Durant will be drawing winners for cash prizes totaling $6.6 million dollars. This includes three drawings of $1 million each to make three millionaires in three months, with the first drawing happening at 1 a.m. on Saturday, July 1.

Extended Stay: Join us for the fireworks but stay for the amenities. While you’re here, relax at The Spa, catch a movie at The District and lounge by the new AQUA pool.


GRANT – Monday, July 3

Fireworks: The show will begin at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Grant at dusk on Monday, July 3. Parking is first come first serve, so be sure to show up early and get the perfect spot for viewing.

Live Entertainment: Experience the festivities with K95.5, which will be broadcasting live during the show.

Dining: Enjoy a cool, refreshing beverage with drink specials at the Cove Bar and River Bar & Grill starting July 1, and head over to Chop House on Monday, July for a fine dining experience.

Gaming: Arrive early for a chance to walk away with thousands in cash. Friday, June 30 is the final edition of Freedom Fridays, where you have the chance to win $5,000, and Saturday and Sunday are the All-American Giveaway, with up to $20,000 up for grabs.

Extended Stay: Planning a longer getaway to celebrate Independence Day? Join us at Cove Pool on Saturday, July 1 for a pool party with DJ Barry Diamond. The pool is available to resort guests, and limited daily pool passes are also available for purchase at the front desk.


POCOLA—Sunday, July 2

Fireworks: The firework show at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola will begin at 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, July 2. There will be limited seating on the top level of the parking garage, and everyone’s encouraged to bring a lawn chair to enjoy the show.

Dining: Win a free burger and fries any weekday by playing slots or table games between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Once you’ve hit 10 tier credits, visit a kiosk to claim your prize and enjoy Trophy’s Bar & Grill!

Gaming: Arrive early and join in on Bags for Bills on Saturday, July 1 with a chance to win up to $2,500 on bean bag games from 6-11 p.m. On July 2, participate in Cash Boom for a chance to win up to $2,000!


STRINGTOWN – Sunday, July 2

Fireworks: The Choctaw Casino – Stringtown firework show will begin at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 2.

Live Entertainment: Be sure to arrive early so you can enjoy live entertainment, which starts at 7 p.m.

Dining: Stop into the Blue Moon Diner for a bite to eat or join in the festivities outside with food trucks in the parking lot starting at 6 p.m.

Gaming: Show up early and participate in the final day of Grills and Bills where you’ll have the chance to win a grill and accessory package and up to $1,000 on Friday, June 30. Declaration of Cash is July 2 at 11 p.m., and the grand prize winner will walk away with $1,776 in cash.
